App Privacy Policy
ANCORA App Privacy Policy (United States)
Last updated: October 29, 2026.
This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use the ANCORA app on your phone and choose our United States store. It supplements our Privacy Policy for ancoraswimwear.com, which still applies to everything this page does not cover. If the two say different things about the app, this page controls.
1. Who we are
The US store in the app is operated by ANCORA LLC, a Florida limited liability company, 80 SW 8th Street, Suite 2000, Miami, FL 33130. Email: support@ancoraswimwear.com.
Your pieces are made in Colombia by our affiliate GRUPO SALOTEX S.A.S. (Bogotá, Colombia), which also helps us fulfill orders and provide customer care. That team accesses your order and support information from Colombia, under our instructions.
2. What we collect in the app
- Account information: name, email and, if you gave it, phone number. You sign in with your store customer account using your email and a one-time code. The app never sees or stores a password.
- Orders and shipping: what you bought, amounts, payment status, shipping addresses and tracking.
- ANCORA Passport: your tier, points, ANCORA Credit and history, if you join. See the ANCORA Passport Terms.
- Customer care chat: the messages you send and receive, with your name and email so we know who you are. Chats are recorded and stored in our own support system (soporte.ancoraswimwear.com).
- Photos you choose to upload to show us a fit issue or a defect.
- Push notifications: if you allow them, a notification token assigned by Apple or Google to your device. It is not your phone number or location.
- Technical data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and server error and security logs.
- Data that stays on your phone: your favorites, your bag and your session number.
The app does not access your location, contacts or microphone, and only accesses your photos when you pick one. The app contains no third-party advertising or tracking tools and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Payments. Checkout runs on Shopify's secure checkout and the payment methods you choose. Neither the app nor ANCORA sees or stores your full card number.
3. How we use it
- To keep you signed in and show your account, orders, addresses and Passport.
- To process, ship and track your orders.
- To handle returns, exchanges and warranty claims, which in the US run through our returns portal.
- To answer you in the chat and keep a record of what we agreed.
- To run the ANCORA Passport.
- To send notifications about your orders and requests and, only if you opt in, marketing notifications such as new arrivals or a size coming back in stock.
- To prevent fraud, secure your account, fix bugs, improve the app and comply with the law.
4. Chat and artificial intelligence
In the US our customer care assistant is Chloe. Some replies are drafted or sent with the help of artificial intelligence tools that process your messages on our behalf only to answer you, and a member of our team handles cases when needed. You can ask for a person at any time.
5. Who we share it with
- Shopify (US and Canada): store, customer accounts, orders and checkout.
- Amazon Web Services (Ohio, US): the server that runs the app and stores sessions, uploaded photos and support chats.
- Redo: our returns and exchanges portal.
- FedEx and other carriers: delivery and tracking.
- Apple and Google: push notification delivery and app distribution.
- Artificial intelligence providers that help us answer chats, who may not use your information for their own purposes.
- Esri: the tracking map is drawn with Esri maps, which receive your device's IP address when they load.
- GRUPO SALOTEX S.A.S. in Colombia, our affiliate, for fulfillment and customer care.
- Payment providers when you pay or get a refund, and authorities when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and the app does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. How long we keep it
- Session: while you stay signed in. It is deleted when you sign out or delete your account.
- Orders and invoices: as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 7 years.
- Photos, return or warranty requests and chats: up to 2 years after the case is closed.
- Passport: while you are a member and as its terms say.
- Notification token: until you turn off notifications, uninstall the app or delete your account.
7. Security and deleting your account
Your account credentials are not stored on your phone. They are kept encrypted on our server and the app only keeps a session number. All traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if you think your account was accessed without your permission, contact us.
You can request deletion of your account in the app under Account > Delete my account, or by emailing support@ancoraswimwear.com. We confirm by email when it is done. We delete your account and personal information except what we must keep by law (for example, invoices) or to resolve an open return or claim. Points and ANCORA Credit are lost when the account is deleted.
8. Your choices and rights
You can update your information in your account, turn notifications on or off in your phone or app settings, and ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@ancoraswimwear.com. We respond within 45 days and do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we will respond to your appeal within 45 days.
9. California residents
If you live in California:
- You can ask us what personal information we collected about you in the last 12 months, the categories of sources and recipients, and why; and ask us to correct or delete it. The categories we collect in the app are identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address, device and notification identifiers), commercial information (orders and Passport), customer records (addresses), photos you upload, chat content, and internet or app activity (technical logs).
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising through the app. Our website uses its own cookies and pixels, explained in our website Privacy Policy, where you will also find the "Your Privacy Choices" link and how we honor Global Privacy Control.
- We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you the right to limit it.
- You can use an authorized agent to make a request. We may verify your identity by confirming your account email.
- The ANCORA Passport is a financial incentive program. Its notice, including how we value it and how to join or leave, is in our website Privacy Policy and the Passport Terms.
- Under California's "Shine the Light" law, you may ask once a year whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not.
To make a request, email support@ancoraswimwear.com with the subject "California Privacy Request".
10. Children
The app is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Information processed outside the US
Our affiliate in Colombia accesses order and support information to serve you. We require it to protect your information as described in this policy.
12. Changes
If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect and update the date above.
